The Smashing Pumpkins bring the Rats In A Cage Tour to Moody Center in Austin on October 25, 2026. The tour arrives during a period when the band is also marking the 35th anniversary of Gish, giving the current live show a strong connection to both the earliest chapter of the Pumpkins and the decades of music that followed.
The Smashing Pumpkins in Austin
Billy Corgan and the band continue to build live sets around the contrast that has always defined The Smashing Pumpkins: heavy guitar music, psychedelic textures, quieter melodic moments and arena-sized alternative rock.
The Austin show is scheduled for 8:00 PM at Moody Center.
The Rats In A Cage Tour
The 2026 tour gives the group room to move across a deep catalog rather than centering on a single record.
For longtime fans, that means material can reach back to the early 1990s while still reflecting the band’s more recent creative period.
Gish at 35 and a Deep Alternative-Rock Catalog
The 35th anniversary of Gish is an important reminder of how long the band has been reshaping its sound.
From early psychedelic alternative rock through the massive scale of Mellon Collie and later releases, The Smashing Pumpkins have rarely stayed inside one narrow version of themselves.
